Does the Size of Your Home Match the Size of Your Life?

By Jackie Johnson, New Home Consultant

Life changes are one of the main reasons why families start looking for a new home. Here are some ways to make sure your home is the right size for your life.

WHAT SORT OF CHANGES?

There’s a million of them. Maybe your first baby is on the way, maybe your second. Maybe your kids are finally moving out on their own. Maybe you got a promotion at work. Maybe you need an extra bedroom for when the in-laws come into town. Maybe you want more room for your pets.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a customer that has built three homes with us in the same neighborhood: when they were single, when they had their first child, and when they had their second. I bet they’ll be calling us in a couple years when they’re empty nesters.

WHAT’S THE BENEFIT?

If your home doesn’t fit your life, you will always be struggling to make it fit. It can be virtually impossible to stay organized, efficient, and happy when your lifestyle and floor plan aren’t in agreement. Square peg. Round hole. Finding the right size home will relieve stress you didn’t even know you had.

WHAT PLAN SHOULD I LOOK FOR?

Every family’s needs are so unique. Just because you don’t have kids doesn’t mean a ranch is right for you. And just because you may have a few doesn’t necessarily mean you would fit best in a two-story home. Luckily for you, Bielinski New Home Consultants, like me, are always willing to sit down with you and find out what’s right for your lifestyle.

WHEN’S THE RIGHT TIME?

The best time to move is before it becomes a necessity. Building a new home is an investment in your future, but can also take some time, so think ahead! Is your lifestyle going to be changing in the next year or so? Start planning your next step now, before your lifestyle and home size no longer match.

Building gives you much more control and personalization over your next home. But life comes at you fast, and sometimes you don’t have time to plan ahead. If finding the right size of home has moved from a want to a need, skip the building process. We’ve got a huge selection of Bielinski RediHomes in all different floor plans and sizes ready for you to move in.

Your home is at the center of your life, so make sure that they’re compatible. To learn more about finding the right home for your lifestyle, contact a Bielinski New Home Consultant today
