Even in our 60th year as homebuilders, it’s important for us to continue evolving. That’s why our new Harmony line of floor plans takes older Bielinski designs and modernizes them to meet the needs of today’s homeowners.
THE CHANGES
After taking a look at what options customers were selecting, hearing their wish lists, and listening to feedback, we came up with quite a few new inclusions. For all of our new Harmony floor plans we added:
- 9’ plate height on all ranches and on the first floor of all two-story homes.
- Larger kitchen islands and taller kitchen cabinets.
- Pull-out waste bins in the kitchen base cabinets.
- Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring to replace laminate flooring and included in more rooms.
- Gas fireplace with no hearth for a more modern feel.
- Large mudrooms with mudroom bench, closet, and cabinets over laundry appliances.
- Dual vanity in the master bathroom.
- Larger bathroom mirrors.
- Larger casings around all interior doors.
And for certain plans we also added:
- Coffered ceilings.
- Private water closet room in the master bathroom.
- Compartmentalized hall bathroom making it convenient for multiple users.
- Fully enclosed home office.
WHY MODERNIZE?
The needs of the Wisconsin family have changed. Our customers are always asking for more and we want to provide it. Other builders often include less in order to win customers with an initially low price, but then when all the comforts of a modern home are added, the customer ends up paying way more than they expected.
We didn’t want to trick our customers like that, and by including all of the modern amenities they want right off the bat we’ve actually created a lower total price. Changes cost more than inclusions, so by limiting the number of overall changes our customers need to make to their plans we also lower the overall cost of the home.
