No two companies build homes the exact same way. Yet after building more than 12,000 homes since our founding in 1960, we’ve learned some key lessons about what works best.
Here are a few of the ways that experience and attention to detail make a difference during the construction process — and throughout the life of your new home.

AN EXPERT TEAM
The home building process involves several phases, roles, and responsibilities. The phases of home building start with design and planning, then continue to estimating and permitting, site preparation and excavation, framing and finishing, and finally inspection and warranty coverage. Each step of the home building process comes with its own set of unique challenges.
That’s where it helps to have a team of experts on your side. Our pre-construction coordinator, for instance, works closely with municipalities to obtain necessary permits and approvals before the home building process can begin. The warranty department, meanwhile, focuses on making sure customers know we’ve got their back in case any unexpected issues come up.
Having a full team of experts on your project is the Bielinski way. Working together, trained specialists in each department can get more done, more efficiently.

NO SHORTCUTS
Many of our customers still live in the homes we first built for them 20, 30, or 40 years ago. We set out to create homes that are built to last the test of time. That’s why we go beyond meeting building code requirements in several key areas of the home-building process.
The wall system we use in every single Bielinski home offers just one example of our high standards for craftsmanship. Where many builders frame houses with 2×4 lumber, we build solid 2×6 exterior walls with studs spaced at 16” on center. Then, we apply oriented strand board (OSB) sheathing to the exterior.
This proven technique creates superior strength, rigidity, and stability — helping the frame withstand heavy loads, endure high winds, and resist warping. It also provides enough space inside wall cavities that we can fill with energy efficient R-21 batt insulation (rather than the less-efficient R-13 batt insulation 2×4 framing allows).
Other builders may offer lower upfront costs, but the Bielinski Difference is undeniable. Our homes are built to last and designed to keep heating and cooling bills lower — providing long-term value, year after year.

OPEN COMMUNICATION
Keeping lines of communication open plays a vital role in the construction process from beginning to end.
Building a new home is an exciting milestone in your life and we believe you should be part of the construction process. We want you to feel involved and listened to. Our goal is to make sure you fully understand what’s happening at all times, on and off site. That includes touching base at least once a week to provide progress updates during construction, share information, answer questions, and explain what comes next.
Good communication is proactive, clear, consistent, accurate, and meaningful. Making it a top priority demonstrates how we respect the trust you put in us. And it’s essential to making your experience an enjoyable, rewarding one.
