The Difference Between Standard Condos and Bielinski Condos

What do you think of when you hear the word condominium? For many people, their preconceived notions of what a condo is (and isn’t) can be the one thing stopping them from finding the right home for the next stage of life. Bielinski Condos are designed to go above and beyond a standard condo and help you enjoy the benefits of condo living by reducing any potential associated downsides. So, let’s set the record straight on a few condo myths and misconceptions.

ALL THE SPACE YOU NEED

It can be hard to give up all the space in your single-family home, even if you’re not using it. But when you really think about it — you’re not giving up space, you’re getting rid of unnecessary space. It’s called rightsizing for a reason.

In  Bielinski Condos, you have all the space you need and more. Enjoy the benefits of condo living with features like two bedrooms, so guests can comfortably visit, a home office that can be used as a reading room or sunroom, and while there isn’t a formal dining room,  Bielinski Condos still feature two dining areas.

Plus, since Bielinski Condos are ranch duplexes, there is a whole lower level that you can expand into. We’ve seen customers take advantage of the benefits of condo living and turn that space into playrooms for the grandkids, craft rooms, exercise spaces, or entertainment areas.
As far as storage goes, there is plenty of closet space, cabinetry, and an attached two-car garage. All you’re giving up is worrying about the cobwebs gathering in your unused rooms.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE CONDO

Bielinski Condos aren’t  the condos you’re picturing in your head. It’s not  multi-unit, stacked buildings in an urban center. Bielinski Condos are ranch duplexes built in wonderful neighborhoods throughout Southeastern Wisconsin that break the standard condo myths.

What that means for you is simple: there is only one shared wall and a private entrance. In a Bielinski Condo, you don’t have to worry about the noise in common hallways as you would in a typical condo — you still get the peace and privacy you’re looking for.

We’ve even taken it a step further. The one shared wall, called a “party wall,” in a Bielinski Condo is actually two walls. In many other cases, a party wall will just be a single wall, but in our condos, it’s two fully framed walls built against each other.

Actually, we’ve taken it two steps further. In party walls with two 2×4 walls that separate the units, the studs are typically aligned with each other. Where the studs match up, there is generally no insulation installed, making noise transference greater.

But that wasn’t good enough for our Bielinski Condos. Our solution was to build our party walls at 16” on-center, where the studs are staggered between the two walls. This gives us the ability to weave insulation over the face of the studs, reducing sound transfer between the units, giving you the chance to enjoy more of the benefits of condo living.
We know it can be hard to leave your single-family home, which is why we’re so dedicated to the details. It’s small things like this that elevate Bielinski Condos and make it easier to take that next step of moving into a condo.

THE RIGHT TIME TO BUY

Inventory is low… really low. When there is less than a six-month supply of homes, we say it’s a seller’s market. We’re way below that right now. Some people might see that and be worried about buying and moving into a condo.

But it’s the opposite. Half of the condo-buying process is the home-selling process. In today’s market, your home is going to sell, it’s probably going to sell fast, and you’re probably going to get your price and possibly more.

When we build Bielinski Condos, it’s always with the homeowner in mind. Whether it’s going the extra mile with our craftsmanship to reduce noise or including accessibility features in our designs, we want to make sure that you can enjoy the benefits of condo living. Bielinski Condos are designed to help you live comfortably today and ten years from now. Learn more about rightsizing into a Bielinski Condo and see available condos at bielinski.com/condos.
